Trade in iphone 4I know, I know, I have been writing about SmartGlass quite often the past couple months, but this will probably be the last one (That is a lie). Android devices managed to score Microsoft’s SmartGlass app on the day of Windows 8 release, most of them anyway, and now it’s Apple’s turn! Microsofts SmartGlass is now available to iOS Devices, which include iPads and iPhones.

Help by donating to the Red CrossThe past few days we have seen the largest storm in Atlantic history rip the East coast apart. Boardwalks, bridges, jobs and homes all lost in a matter of hours due, in most part, to water surges never seen before.  My home town, just a few miles away from Seaside heights, was ravaged with flooding and destroyed power lines.  Some folks are still without power, and may continue to be without for a week, if not more. Here in Philadelphia, we experiences mild flooding and a few downed trees, but managed to scrape by without much damage. Nothing like we see on the shore. So how can you help the victims of Sandy?

Ok, so maybe the Higgs Boson, something theorized in physics for a VERY long time, has a very weak connection to cellphones or electronics. But darn it! It’s so cool! If you don’t know what the Higgs Boson is and why it is important to everything physics, I’ll explain simply. The Higgs Boson is something that gives everything that has mass, mass. Something like a photon, that comes from the sun and can sometimes be a wave and sometimes be a particle, doesn’t have mass. But most particles have mass, we just didn’t know how. But thanks to CERN we may have finally found the Higgs Boson, which was theorized to exist because… We exist, and this planet exists, and mass exists. Everything that holds us all together is attached to the theory that the Higgs Boson is real.

Here are instructions for hard resetting your Samsung Galaxy Prevail M820 phone to its factory settings. The Samsung Galaxy Prevail M820 is highly customizable and you have been hard at work tweaking it to your liking, but now the fun is over and you want to return it to its original settings again.

Here, we show you how to hard reset the Samsung Galaxy Prevail with step by step instructions.

Please note that all data will be deleted from the Samsung Galaxy Prevail when you perform a hard reset. This process may or may not delete data stored on the microSD card. We recommend backing up all of your personal data before proceeding.

First, try this:

  1. From the main home screen, tap menu
  2. Tap Settings, then Privacy
  3. Tap Factory data reset
  4. Tap Reset phone
  5. Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm

If that doesn’t work, or if your phone is frozen:

  1. Turn the power off. If your Samsung Galaxy Prevail is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
  2. Hold the Volume Down button
  3. Press and release the Power button
  4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
  5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
  6. Press and release the Power button
  7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Samsung Galaxy Prevail. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
