Phone free with 2 year service agreement

Why was my phone free and now I have to pay so much? Fine print says "with new account".

You recently got your new phone for free on a promotion at your local phone store. 3 months later you were drunk and left your phone in a taxi cab. The next day you proceed to go into your local Verizon store only to find out your phone is going to cost you $599.99 to replace the device. The sales person in the store says you are not eligible for an upgrade on your phone for another year and 9 months! The sales guy says the only reason you received your phone  for free was because you agreed to a 2 year contract with your phone carrier. Oh no, what am I going to do you think to yourself.

When I look back at my very first cellphone, an old Nokia with it’s green display, I think of it’s few uses it offered me. It has been a busy couple a months here at TheBlueDot.net and I am proud to announce the very first episode of our cellphone scenario series! What will this series be exactly? Well every two weeks we will release an animated short of possible scenarios where you may break or lose your phone. They range from the realistic to the outrageous. It being our very first episode we decided to go the fun route and be a bit outrageous. Not every animation will be a scenario as we will release animations on contest announcements, tips on recycling, and future events! We’ll be asking on our blog, Facebook and various social media sites for advice and ideas for future scenario themes, and maybe… just maybe, a few contests and free goodies will be involved. So keep your eyes peeled for future updates and more new on our new animated series!

Android phones are shy no more with the recent release of Cluzee, an app that is ready for download on the Android Marketplace. Cluzee is a lot like Siri in that you have full voice control over your phone. Not only does it have full voice control though, it talks to you. For example, in the demo video released, if you have a doctors appointment the app will remind you of it when it’s getting close, but it also depends on how far from the doctors office you are. If you are a good distance away it will remind you earlier, or if there is traffic it will warn you to avoid those streets and then remind you of your appointment. It’s like having an overly caring and nosey friend in your pocket!
