It’s our second day into 2013 and we’re already really excited for what’s to come this year in tech. Most of these devices won’t be much of a surprise, while others may come out even later than the end of 2013… or not at all. So what should we expect this year in everything electronic?
Ok, so maybe the Higgs Boson, something theorized in physics for a VERY long time, has a very weak connection to cellphones or electronics. But darn it! It’s so cool! If you don’t know what the Higgs Boson is and why it is important to everything physics, I’ll explain simply. The Higgs Boson is something that gives everything that has mass, mass. Something like a photon, that comes from the sun and can sometimes be a wave and sometimes be a particle, doesn’t have mass. But most particles have mass, we just didn’t know how. But thanks to CERN we may have finally found the Higgs Boson, which was theorized to exist because… We exist, and this planet exists, and mass exists. Everything that holds us all together is attached to the theory that the Higgs Boson is real.
If you Blue Dots are anything like me, you are practically foaming at the mouth waiting for the latest updates from those magical folks at Google. Heck, even if you aren’t as excited as I am to be on the cutting edge of technology, it never hurts to keep your product up to date with Android’s many dessert themed upgrades. The newest update that may be coming to your phone is code named Ice Cream Sandwich. It brings lots of cool new features, a smoother interface and a uniform look to the Android Platform whether it’s a brand new or used cell phone!
Android phones are shy no more with the recent release of Cluzee, an app that is ready for download on the Android Marketplace. Cluzee is a lot like Siri in that you have full voice control over your phone. Not only does it have full voice control though, it talks to you. For example, in the demo video released, if you have a doctors appointment the app will remind you of it when it’s getting close, but it also depends on how far from the doctors office you are. If you are a good distance away it will remind you earlier, or if there is traffic it will warn you to avoid those streets and then remind you of your appointment. It’s like having an overly caring and nosey friend in your pocket!
