Windows Surface Pro went on sale last week and no one was sure how the public would react to the new device. The Windows RT didn’t sell wonderfully, but it also wasn’t terrible. Knowing that, some people expected doom and gloom with the Surface Pro’s release. Were people still excited? Maybe they were just waiting for the Pro instead of purchases a truncated version of Windows 8 in tablet form. That seems to be the case, at least with its immediate release. Several businesses has announced that their stock of the 128GB version of the Surface has sold out, leaving the 64GB version still scattered about at some locations.
CES is only around the corner and there are some exciting things to be revealed this year. A lot of excitement in the HDTV industry for the most part. This year Samsung has more heads turning in their direction for their hype building HDTV teaser, while most people don’t expect too many big things from Smart phones besides some mid-range device.
With the release of the Windows RT, which is the Windows 8 Tablet that is more tablet than PC, folks have been waiting patiently to hear of the price of Windows Surface Pros, the tablets that are more PC than tablet. Well, the cats out of the bag, along with a release date and specific hardware specs, and folks may not be too quick to purchase Microsoft’s newest experiment upon release in January.
After Thanksgiving I realized just how much I used my phone for recipes and cooking. I made mixed drinks, desserts and even whole meals using various apps on my phone, tablet and Windows 8 device. Relatives of mine, who are tech deficient in a few ways, were amazed such tools have been available for some time. It’s that time of year again, Black Friday is just around the corner with Cyber Monday and Small business Tuesday right behind. Although, it seems, more and more online stores ignore Cyber Monday and have an entire week of crazy sales. We don’t have the inside word on what deals to expect, but we do know what new tech gifts you should keep and eye out for and what deals you’ll probably see come Black Friday.
